Enebærodde – Nordfyn. 13 km.

You cannot hike on North Funen without hiking to Enebærodde..

The place is a natural gem. A 6 km long isthmus, which is from 20 m at the narrowest point and up to 750 m wide.

Park the car at the car park at Enebærodde beach and hike towards the tip. After the first 500 meters, you come out on the narrow section towards the small forest, which marks the halfway point to the large forest area. At the large forest area, you choose whether you want to go right or left around the tip. If you turn right, you have the shallow fjord on your right, and the beautiful moorland on the left. If you turn left, you have Kattegat on your left and the beautiful coniferous forest on your right. Choose according to sun and wind.

There is a beautiful nature on Enebærodde, which is Denmark's largest contiguous heath area with lots of junipers. If you walk carefully and look a little ahead, you may be lucky to see vipers. After just over 6 km you come out to Gabet, where there is a lighthouse. It is a perfect place for a lunch break at the table bench set.

On the other side of Gabet are the pilot houses and you can look across to the white sand cliffs of Fyns Hoved.

At Enebærodde you can experience a very special light.

There are loose cows on the tip, and if you have a dog with you, you must be very careful. The cows don't like dogs - especially not when they have calves!

The hike is approx. 13 km long.
