Øhavsstien fra Fjællebroen – Faaborg. 15 km.

The Archipelago Trail from Fjællebroen to Faaborg. 15 km.

May, 2020 Off By Klaus

The Archipelago Trail is more than 220 km long, but you can always choose a shorter stretch.

Start at Fjællebroen Marina and head towards Svendborg. A scenic walking route has been created that follows the coast right by the water.

After just 2 km, you reach the first coffee spot, offering a view of Korshavn and Drejø.

The route is very flat, as you follow the coast, but you encounter inclines where the sea is eroding the cliffs, and you also walk right at the water's edge.

At around the 7-kilometer mark, you reach Præstens Skov, an old coppice wood. The younger trees were cut down (coppiced) every five years, after which they would sprout again from the stump. There is a lovely spot in the woods for a coffee break, offering a view of the water.

From Præstens Skov, the route heads back towards Fjællebroen. You can choose to return the same way, but if—like us—you want to see something new, walk back along a route slightly inland that runs parallel to the coast. Here, you can enjoy the small side roads and take in beautiful views of the water.

The highlight of the trip is the long walk along the water.

Length just under 15 km.

Click on the map below and it will open in Google Maps. From here, you can follow the route as you are hiking.

Turen er senest gået den 20.05.2020.

Vejret: Solmed lidt skyer. 16 grader

Vejr at vide: Turen er ikke nem at gå når det har regnet meget. Stien står flere steder under vand, og der er mange steder, hvor stien er meget glat.
