Lillebæltsstien – Middelfart. 11 km.

Around Middelfart on Lillebæltsstien

Drive to Kongebrogården at Middelfart and park the car.

The entire trip takes place along the water around Hindsgavl and with views of Jutland on the other side of the Little Belt and Fænø in the middle of the strait.  

Walk along the water under the old Little Belt Bridge. After just half an hour of walking you will find the first coffee spot. It is located by a couple of shelters and gives you the most beautiful view of the old Little Belt Bridge. You can make out the new Little Belt Bridge in the background. 

The next part of the trip is quite hilly compared to the fact that Funen is flat, so good hiking shoes is a must here. 

The tour continues around Gals Klint and out to Hindsgavl Voldsted, which are the remains of King Erik Klipping's old castle from around 1260 – The perfect place for a photo shoot. There is the opportunity to see a fantastic sunset and maybe enjoy a glass of champagne?

Continue past Hindsgavl Slot, where a small half-timbered house with a thatched roof has been built. The house is known for H.C. Andersen's verse dedicated to Christian VIII. If you have even the slightest romantic in you, this is the place for a love kiss.

Continue all the way to Middelfart Marina, where you then walk across Middelfart back to Middelfart harbor and return to Kongebrogården.

Vejr at vide: Der er næsten 4 km fra Hindsgavl Voldsted til Kongebrogården, så det bliver en ret mørk vandretur tilbage igennem skoven. Husk derfor en god lommelygte. Alternativet er, at parkere ved Galsklint Camping og gå derfra.
